IT DESIGN & SUPPORT ENGINEER –
This Fortune 500 company has two key positions open in their Pittsburgh field office for Level 2 people to join their team. Must have a minimum of 6 years experience in Cisco routing and switching and used to working in a team-oriented environment.
This position will support Operations Control Center as well as other site facilities – may be dispatched to these other facilities so must be able to travel about 25% of the time. Need valid passport for some international travel.
Certifications required include current CCNA or CCNP (preferably CCNP) and must have strong experience in BGP, EIGRP, and MPLS configuration and support of these protocols in a large enterprise environment.
Experience configuring, monitoring and troubleshooting Layer 2 and 3 with 6500 and/or 4500 Catalyst switching Platforms in an International Enterprise environment. Also solid experience with Cisco 7200, 3800/2800 ISR Series, 2600 series routers and 6500, 4500, 4000, 3750, 3560, 3500 Catalyst switches. Cisco VPN Concentrator, CiscoWorks NMS, Cisco WCS, Cisco LWAP and controllers, Cisco VMS/RME/ACS, NetScout Performance Manager, Concord E-Health or CA Spectrum a plus.
Experience configuring, monitoring and troubleshooting EIGRP and BGP in a large scale enterprise production environment.
Experience
with layer 2 technologies, such as VLAN’s, spanning tree, VTP and etherchannel.
troubleshooting Routed and Switched Networks in an Enterprise environment.
In network design/documentation of small, medium, large remote locations and/or data centers
With Multiple Network Management Systems Platforms
With network security devices such as Cisco PIX, ASA, IDS/IPS or Cisco MARS
Experience with Token Ring and Cabletron (Enterasys) a plus, but not necessary.
Will be On-call 24X7 with pager
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and occasionally work after hours on special projects.

Cisco L2 and L2 configurations, 6500, 4500, 3600, 3500, 2900 Catalyst switches running Native and Hybrid modes
